Bettye, I was watching the revival in Mobile last night and one thing the young pastor said, caught my attention after reading this poem.
He said, the Lord spoke to him and said, Crimson Tide, he wondered about it. Then a friend said something to him about football and the Alabama team called Crimson Tide. He doesn’t keep up with football since he is from England. He said, his game is soccer.
Then Pastor Kilpatrick called him to get him to come and preach for him, and in the mist of the conversation, he mentioned Crimson Tide. At the time, he was planning a vacation, but felt like God was telling him to go to Alabama first. Using the word Crimson Tide.
He had no idea that revival would break out. So to get to
the reason I’m writing this. Could it be God wants you
to go to the revival, for your healing.
Thanks for letting me know that, Brenda. I shouldn’t have hesitated to name the poem “Crimson Tide” when I definitely knew that was what God had placed in my spirit. What a confirmation that God wants something to happen here in Alabama and in our lives.
Lovely poem! Tight. Concise. Packs a punch! Thank you for sharing this. I love how volumes of truth are contained in a few powerful lines.
It is simple — but so is the gospel. Thanks for your comment. I value your thoughts and poetic criticism.
I like it. It seems inspired and blessed. And I’m not even in Alabama.
Beautiful!
I love this poem. I wrote poems myself years ago, and I understand what you are trying to say. You continually bless us with what God has said to you. Thanks s o much. I love Crimson Tide football, but I love so much more the Crimson Tide that flows from the cross.
LOVE IT!!! I think it would make a great praise & worship song!!!!! at first I thought it was!!!! Would it be ok if I showed it to a few people & see if they could maybe put a tune to it?
Where is this revival in Alabama? I too am a Bama (crimson tide) fan but I’m a BIGGER God & Jesus fan!!!!! The funny thing is thats what caught my eye & one of the resons I clicked on it LOL!!!! Love the comminets people have made on here!!! Thanks for becoming my Facebook friend too!!! Love this Blog!!!!! <3
I am going to reply here, and then again reply on Facebook because I don’t know if you will see this reply unless you have clicked that you want to follow the post. Many of the poems that God gives me comes to me as a song, but I have no musical ability to set any lyrics to music–and I have no voice to sing what I hear in my head! You are welcome to share it with anyone with musical talent as long as you are willing to share their results with me. The revival is in Mobile. I will try to find a link to their site for you from one of my friends.
